DOCTOR WITH A LEGAL ISSUE? GIVE US A CALL: 020 7060 1776

A doctor who was erased from the GMC register has successfully applied for restoration with representation from Kings View.

The doctor, S, was erased from the medical register some years ago.  Wishing to practise again as a registered and licensed doctor, they instructed Kings View to represent them.  We are pleased to report that, with King View’s representation, the doctor was successful in applying for GMC restoration.  The doctor was represented by GMC defence barrister and joint head of chambers, Catherine Stock.

During their previous attempts at restoration, the doctor was unsuccessful in persuading the MPTS that they had gained a sufficient level of insight and remediation.  However, working with Dr S, he was able to demonstrate a high level of insight and evidence of remediation, which contributed to his successful restoration application.

Catherine said:

“Restoration applications are complicated and very few doctors are successful.  It is very important, for any doctor considering applying for restoration, to seek legal advice at the earliest possible opportunity.

Dr S, said:

“Catherine understand better than anyone the steps what formulates the key to put doctor back on medical register. She is a highly experienced barrister.

“The work she did for me shows she really cares and that the defence team has a heart and this is not just a job.  You all went above and beyond when working on my case.

“Thank you so much. I don’t think I can ever thank her enough for the guidance and help. I am just almost in disbelief that is finally over.”
